About Me

The funny thing with these profiles is that, you might come back to them years later and be amused by what you wrote years ago. Though, I'm reasonably impressed with what I had.

So about me:

I'm about to uproot and move to Melbourne to pursue freelance/entrepreneurial opportunities.

Will be arriving 23rd April, and am looking to spend a couple of weeks decompressing somewhere peaceful before settling into Melbourne.

Check out the app I'm working on: https://geoart.hyperactive.media . I started this when I saw this gif that was like 'look at the dance between Venus and Earth', and I was like 'Yeah, but I'm sure that any relationship of two orbiting objects is going to draw something pretty, so I quickly built a thing to demonstrate it, with variable speed and distance. . And then I was like 'that is pretty!, Hey I could add a third orbit, and get them orbit each other and...' and it's all got a bit out of hand. I'm thinking getting it into a lightshow is realistic, but to be honest, I'm a bit over it, and kind of want this project to be out of the way with.

I have some other app ideas I want to work on. Really, if you have a spare $1bn lying around, that'd be helpful because I'd like to hire some people to do them.

Other than that - I'll otherwise be pursuing 3-6 month contracts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couch surfing years ago - when I lived in a flat that had couches people could stay on.

I generally like the ethos of it.

I'm about to move to Melbourne to work as a freelancer/pursue my own projects.

Before I getting settled into to actually working, I'd like to decompress for a bit, spend some time in a quiet area, before I feel like I'm back on rat wheel. :/

What else about me?

I mean, I am pretty nerdy and generally like talking politics etc. I also like dancing, going for walks, listening to podcasts. I'm a bit restless.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like the moments it's clear that 'wow hey - I exist, I'm actually real and right here', I think often we are going through life distracted by everything that's going on that we forget how amazing it is that we exist in the first place.
