Hi I'm Daniel. I studied anthropology and love to learn about other cultures.

I'm also an adventurer at heart. I love to climb, have a Scuba Diving license, and I really love to ski. My bucket list consists of a lot of crazy places I want to ski. Places where you might only get snow once a decade, like Guatemala, Florida, Vatican city. Places with disappearing glaciers, before climate change takes the snow away forever, like the Papua New Guinea Highlands, Tanzania, and Bolivia Places where the political situation stops most people from even considering it, like Turkmenistan, Iran and North Korea.

I'm currently at Bible College, but don't let that put you off. If you happen to stay with me on a Sunday, I will invite you to my church. You don't have to come, but my friends there are great!
I'm happy to show anyone around Brisbane.
I'll try to eat almost anything (insects, durian, Mongolian Yak's cheese).
I don't smoke but I'm happy to drink occasionally.

I love showing people around Brisbane and taking people mountain climbing :)

Interests

I am interested in culture. Seeing sites is nice, but experiencing cultures is much more worthwhile.
I'm also always amazed by just how friendly Christians tend to be all over the world, despite our differences. I can show up in most countries, and find a church and... "Do we speak the same language?" No. "Do we both believe that Jesus died to save us, and rose again to defeat death?" Yes! That makes us Brothers and Sisters! Language barriers don't matter anymore!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a weekend camping with Afghani and Iraqi refugees. A group of 10 kids came up to me saying "Tell us a ghost story! Tell us a ghost story!"
I don't know any ghost stories...

I can cook all sorts of food, and when I travel I usually pick up new recipes to share.
