After our hired Jeep only drove half way up the mountain, I hiked the rest just to catch the sunrise on top of Mount Penanjakan. My Jeep left without me, so I jumped on the back of another; hanging on the spare tire for dear life, as the driver pinned it 60 km down the twisting mountain. I jumped off just short of mount Bromo, after he thought it would be fun to get some air with me on the back. I reached the crater bottom, doubled on some horse rider and met my friends at the volcano base.
