I am Hyunwoo. I'm from South Korea. I was born in Seoul. I had lived with my parents before I went to Germany to study abroad. So I finished high school in Seoul. Meanwhile I started studying in Germany. I served military service because it's mandatory to work for the government for 2 years. Now I live in Germany. I study Physics in Aachen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is really good to be asked. I'm gonna tell you why I do it. Especially for my current situation. For me, it's hard to meet up new people not only koreans but also people from the other countries. I love hanging out. But not allowed cuz I am a soldier. Only when i am on my vacation, i can do this. It would be priceless to see each other for us!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm korean. So I've been listened to the korean music. I don't love it but naturally the lists of korean songs are saved in my phone. I studied the history of the classical music. I like playing the piano but am poor at it.

I love super hero movies like Iron man. I prefer Marvels to DC Comics. Batman is too serious. I wanna laugh while I enjoy watching something. Dead Pool was awesome!

Usually I wasn't interested in modern and classical novel. Read only about informations which I would know more. As the media is more developed, I watch more videos than read the books. It's a more effective way to get some new infos. These days, I love reading novels because of my situation. I am a soldier until next year in 2018. It's not easy to meet some ordinary people to communicate with them. Always I must stay with other soldiers in the basement. So reading novel is an indirect way to see the outside of the world!

I've taught the korean language to a 6 foreigners group who married korean men for several months. It's a volunteer work.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking. I would like to invite my friends and family to the dinner. Cooking was my life before. I wanted to be a chef. But you know the reality is always different from dreams. So I became a home cook. I make the dishes for myself, friends and family. It could be an honor for me, if you tasted my food. Always Welcoming!!!

Also I can show you the city. If you have some places to visit, just tell me. I'll lead to the places on the best way(shortest distance). And I know some places where only I know near my house. Follow me to see the beautiful lights at night!
