Hello everybody :)

I am Hyunyi from Seoul, South Korea. I'm studying Portuguese and Business administration. Recently, I am taking a semester off to experience and learn more via travel! I am going to travel Portugal and Spain for 2 months from November.

As I chose my major, Portuguese, I am really interested in Brazilian and Portuguese culture.

I didn an exchange student in Porto Alegre, Brazil. I stayed about an year and it was an amazing experience! Since then I started to like more português and I opended my eyes to the world.

Oneday, I noticed that "hmmmm.. well.. I'm learning portuguese and I don't know much about Portugal." So this trip strated from here!

Okay, maybe too much explanation here and let me introduce little bit of myself :)

- I am very easy going person. I can easily get along with people in the hostel or some other places.

- I really enjoy good conversation with people. could be talkative but also I am a good listener.

- I am very responsible person and organized.

- I like get involved in whatever events! Lol.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I traveled to South America for 2 months, I met lots of people who recommended CS! I like to explore cities and walking around.

Moreover it's so important to absorb them not just seeing them. I think CS is the best way to do it! Meeting people and share experiences.

For me, always travel turns out meaningful with good people :)

Interests

Portuguese, travel, nature, but also city, cozy cafés, music, festivals, hiking, walking, cultures, volunteer work, workaway, art, museums, photos, cooking(for the real... eating!), sunset, sunrise moment, tea time!

Music, Movies, and Books

All music that I think great haha. I like latin music or pop for the party and also I prefer to listen calm musics like Bossa nova when I am alone. Brazilian music is another level I think..! They have lots of genres in music. Ohhh I must say I love korean music too! K-pop is not only kind of music in Korea..lol

Especially, I am a big fan of Cetano Veloso! His music is so great that every time I listen to his music, I nearly cry!!

Also, I love all kind of festivals and especially I looove MUSIC FESTIVALS. I enjoy going to the festival moreover, I love participate at the festivals as a volunteer! I participated as a volunteer at Jazz festival and music film festival at Korea several times! It was such a great memories :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some cave adventure in the Easter Island. I hiked the seaside mountain and just saw the little passway. Then, I felt that I have to follow that way. After walking few minutes, I met amazing cave with gorgeous view..! Always something happens during the trip, right?
