About Me

Hello! I was born and raised in Pakistan until my primary school. Life has been scattered across the globe ever since then.

I build software to sustain myself. I worked for over 8 years working building software for small shops to the largest tech firms in the world.

I actively find ways to change my study and work environment every once in a while. Cities where I have lived/studied/worked long enough to consider home include Manchester, Lahore, Zurich, Shanghai & Hong Kong.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love sharing. And I joined the CS community to meet people who love sharing themselves. Weather its their couch, their stories, ideas, passion or even their dreams.

Interests

I love philosophy and spend long periods of time contemplating about pretty much anything under the sun. Life, Laws, Politics, Human Race, Universe or the Future of Technology.

I have been a software engineer long enough to talk hours about it building them or cracking jokes aimed at software nerds.

I find any opportunity possible to turn small talk into talking about real memories, issues or thoughts that matter to people. I find talking to people about their lives more entertaining then any of my hobbies, even software. When I cant, then I resort to virtual realms of Ted Talks and real stories posted anonymously posted online.

Also, I am a HUGE fan of Doctor Who!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music taste revolves around Electronic & Epic. Quite recently got into Jazz.

I love a whole list of movies from various camps. The most memorable were Cloud Atlas, Interstellar, Dead Poet Society, Her,

Poetry from Walt Whitman about real life. Sometimes romanic poetry from Scott Fitzgerald.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived as a nomad starting from Europe and mostly in a local university in Hong Kong for around two years. Just for fun. Slept in train stations, student dorms, lecture theatres, friends places and even in abandoned buildings in my sleeping bag.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am open to sharing anything, as long as it belongs to me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Estonia, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Malaysia, Oman, Sweden, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
