About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Fill my heart with love, and express it in everything I do. Make that contagious. Repeat.
ABOUT ME
I am a dreamer, lover, creater, seeker, magic maker.
I spent my childhood in Hawaii and after that most of my years have been spent in the San Francisco Bay Area. I enjoy city and country(nature), making Northern California a great home base(but I like warmer winters). I enjoy both taking it slow and wasting no time, whichever one the situation calls for.
PHILOSOPHY
So I think that actions ripple out and can affect society and consciousness. So there can be positive or negative "ripples"...stay with me, so my Philosophy on life is : "Live. LOVE. Laugh. Leave good ripples."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
New here. Hoping to couch soon, and then once settled, host and spark a couple activities (coming to the NOLA area near you)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Mostly word of mouth and through friends of friends on other networks. I just started using couchsurfer and hope I can figure out how to make the most of it.
Interests
I love seeking out new experiences or amusement where ever I go. I love cultural things like music, art, food, film, wine. I also like outdoorsy stuff that gets my hands dirty like gardening or raising animals(I have had chickens, ducks and goats before), building natural structures, foraging for edible plants and mushrooms. I am a bit of a trashionista (I make wearable art out of recycled materials). And I love connecting with others to build community and find common ground to help one another get the best experience possible out of life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a cinematic addict so a glimpse of movies Iike: Romeo Is Bleeding, Being John Malkovich, Fight Club, Brave, American Beauty, crazy stupid love
Same with books. Some authors I love: Chuck Palahniuk, Neil Gaiman, Tom Robbins, Malcolm Gladwell. Always looking for new book recs.
Music: what ever the mood calls for from folksy, to bluesy to electronic. Love good hip hop. I like classical as well. I think there is beautiful music in any genre, and I try to keep an open mind and open ear for my tastes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There really is something to be said for a tropical sunset. I wish I had watched more of them as a child. Now don't get me wrong, there have been several beautiful sunsets I have witnessed from the SF area, and they have a flavor all their own with the backdrop of skyscrapers and the bridges and a nice mix of color, but they pale in comparison to the hues and vibrancy of the sunsets in paradise. The reflection in the water glimmers and as a child I would be so caught up in the bliss of that scene and think that life was amazing. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life, the beauty in commotion and rest and the balance in between. Another moment that left me awestruck was running around the snow in Park City Utah during the Sundance Film Festival in 2001 flyering for WaveTwisters with DJ Qbert, who is one of my musical heroes.
