ABOUT ME

Find myself working in Loughborough, living in Nottingham, and not expecting either of these to last for too long. I live with my partner Rebecca and our cat, Humboldt. For a living I teach English & on the side some academic research & writing. I finished a PhD a couple of years ago and now happily scratch around looking for the next thing, trying to keep learning wherever I can, whatever I can.

If the world were simple, word would have gotten around. / Growth isn't the only option.

Not currently able to put people up, but very glad indeed to explore Nottingham or nearby with visitors.

Slim, but I've only had good experiences with visitors in the past

Reading things, listening to people, discussing, coffee, second hand shops, cooking for me or for company, art of all kinds, selectively, sport of all kinds, non-selectively, quiet pint, silence, enthusing.
