About Me

28. From Sydney, Australia. Currently living in London, UK

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my time running the hostel I've had the opportunity to help out so many people in hard times while travelling and it has been so rewarding to get to know them and see how much they are appreciative and willing to help me in return. I'd love to have someone show me around their city like I got the chance to do. Get to know all the inside info - the cool places to go, the happy hours, the off the beaten track attractions and gee, how to save a few bucks as well! Of course I want to do the tourist things, I have too. I am a tourist after all. But I also love to experience places like a local as best I can - that's where you come in!

Interests

Writing, recording, performing, listening to and watching music. It does essentially rule my life.

I enjoy writing, skateboarding and basketball a great deal also.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to everything and anything. I used to be a music journalist so I enjoy it all, but I'm a punk rock kid at heart and the only boss I listen to is Springsteen.

Woody Allen, Kevin Smith, Orson Welles, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick

Charles Bukowski, Bret Easton-Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent almost all of 2016 travelling through at first Australia then through South East Asia all the way up to China over through the US up to Canada and over to the UK before spending some time in Scandinavia and France. One of the most rewarding and bankrupting experiences of my life 😂

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn as much as I can about where I'm staying and anyone in general. As a writer the inquisitorial gene is very strong with in me. But please, please, take me to your dive bars and underground live music venues. I am working on what I can hopefully turn in to a book about the underground music cultures of different countries/cities/towns in an attempt to see what divides and what unites us 👊

Share and teach? My whole life has been devoted to music. If you want to chat on music or even have a jam. I'm your guy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm just as capable of being loud and partying all night with a beer in hand as I am at sitting back and have an intelligent conversation over a record player and a cup of tea. I tend to mirror those around me to an extent so that no one feels uncomfortable.

Countries I’ve Visited
