About Me

I live in Clydebank, near Glasgow, Scotland. I only have one bedroom, but I can host you in my living room, if you don't mind sleeping on the sofa.

I'm a photo-journalist, represented by an agency based in Hong Kong. I cover sport, celebrities and concerts mainly, but also general news.

I'm a photographer of portraits, headshots, business, PR, and events.

When I'm not out photographing, I mainly work from home, so we can be fairly flexible about the hours you come and go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the social aspect of it, and to be able to experience a new place more like a local does. I'm not a typical tourist, and love learning more directly about a country and its language and culture. I also like meeting new people, and being able to show them the great city of Glasgow, and the beauty of Scotland.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reggae and soca music, but also classical, and I enjoy going to listen to an orchestra. Traditional Scottish music is also a favourite, along with Celtic music in general, some country music, and world music, such as that from Africa.

With movies, I'm an avid Netflix and Amazon Prime viewer of all sorts! But I particularly like documentaries.

I'm not a huge reader of books, but I do enjoy reading about photo-journalists' work, expecially in conflict zones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travelled to South Africa for a charitable project, as part of a group of volunteers. We built a computer lab for a high school located in a disadvantaged neighbourhood of Port Elizabeth. We used our skills to build the computers, set them up with software, wire up a local area network, and connect the school to the Internet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a photographer and photo-journalist. I've also been a film-maker and graphic designer.

I'm always keen to teach others, learn from them, and share in experiences, especially cultural!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If any of my skills can help you, I'm more than willing to share my knowledge and experience.

I would love to cook some meals for you, and I'm rather good in the kitchen!

Although I live alone at home, I have experience living with others, and am clean and tidy.

If you're ever in Glasgow, Scotland, I would be happy to host you in return, show you the sights, and suggest things to do. I used to be a walking tour guide, and love meeting people from all over the world.
