About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the whole world, live in many different parts of it, and meet lots of interesting people!

ABOUT ME

I'm super laidback, and I tend to get along with pretty much everybody. I'm a die-hard optimist, and I always know how to enjoy myself no matter what the situation. I have a passion for learning, both about the world around me, and about other people. I want to explore the world and live in many different places throughout the course of my life!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is an ever-changing adventure! The thrill of life for me is not knowing what's going to come next. Life is too short to spend time worrying or stressing. There is so much out there in the world that I want to experience, and I don't intend to stop exploring the world until the day I die.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After couchsurfing officially and non-officially for a while, I have settled down in Granada, Nicaragua. Now I'm hoping to use couchsurfing on occasion to be able to travel frugally to other places, and when I get my own house in Nicaragua I would like to start hosting people as well! =)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couchsurfing and have only couchsurfed a couple times so far, but it's been great! I can't wait to meet more people and have more fun couchsurfing experiences.

Interests

In my free time I love to travel, explore, and try new things. I also consider myself quite intellectual; I love to read and have interesting, thought-provoking conversations.

I also play the strategy card game "Magic: the Gathering" semi-professionally.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, seriously. Even though I always vary what I'm listening to, lately I've been listening to a lot of EDM.

I watch a lot of movies, and I consider myself quite a movie-buff... I tend to love thought-provoking dramas the most.

I enjoy some fiction, but nowadays I read mostly non-fiction since I'd usually rather spend my time learning about something than getting involved in a story. Some of my favorite authors at the moment are Michael Pollan, Jon Krakauer, and Malcolm Gladwell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled to over a dozen different countries in my life thus far, and I plan to travel to many more! I've been traveling non-stop since August 2013, and I spent most of my time in Central America soaking up the culture there. I absolutely fell in love with Nicaragua during my travels. I love traveling and experiencing new cultures and new people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I tend to know a little bit about a lot of different subjects, so I'd like to think that I have many things to share with people! I'm totally an information sponge though, and I'll absolutely love learning anything you want to teach me

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences with traveling, as well as stimulating and intellectual conversation. Also if you're interesting, I'm also willing to share my knowledge about Magic: the Gathering as well as other card games that I play =)
