Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just joined couchsufring recently. I think it's nice to meet interesting people.

I never had a couchsufring experience before. But I'm a polite host and a humble guest. I was sharing a house for a year, and my roommates never had problems with me ;)

Interests

I like mountains and outdoor activities. Skiing in the winter, hiking in the summer.
Indoor climbing all year long.

I enjoy playing an acoustic guitar and listening to music.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like various musical genres. Jazz, 1960s and 1970s rock, classics, Russian rock. Couple of my favourite musicians: Antonio Carlos Jobim, David Bowie, Muse, The Beatles, Boris Grebenshchikov (БГ), Splean (Сплин), Chizh (Чиж).

Couple of my favourite movies: Fight Club, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Beautiful mind, Dogville, Wristcutters: A love story, Coffee and Cigarettes, Life is miracle. Watchmen, Lolita (by Kubrick), Terminator 2 and many other. I also enjoy movies which make you think. The ones by Jim Jarmush, Emir Kusturicam, Lars von Trier.

Some of my favorite books: Idiot by Dostoyevsky, Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse, Naive Super by Erlend Loe, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I have spent two weeks in the winter expedition to lake Baikal to work on the telescope detecting neutrino particles coming from supernova.
