About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Cross bridges when you come to them, live on the whim and do what makes you happy =)

ABOUT ME

All about me... the hardest thing to talk about =/ Well, in a nutshell, I studied art for many many years. I did courses in creative arts, film and photography in college and earned a DEC there. Then I continued on to Concordia University where i was enrolled in Film Animation. I did it for a year and a half and although I loved it very much, i discovered that a career in art was not for me. So I moved on to my next passion which is cooking.. tried getting into the restaurant business by working in the kitchen but I didn't like that either. Now I am stuck in some sort of limbo where I'm not sure where I'm heading career-wise. I decided to remedy that by taking a 2 month trip to europe in September with my best friend and hopefully find some inspirations during my travel.

*edit: It did not inspire me, in fact. Too bad, Europe is still awesome :)

PHILOSOPHY

Love my cats. Yes, you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about this network this through my friend who I just finished traveling around Europe with for two months. During our trip, we were hosted by several wonderful people and I could not have had a better time!

Unfortunately I cannot host my house as of yet since I am still living under my parents' roof, however I will be more than happy to show travelers around Montreal =)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have slept on my own couch. My boyfriend has slept on my couch.... no that doesn't count.

Ha, unfortunately I can't have anyone stay at my house just yet seeing as I still live with my parents and all. However, I had 4 couch surfing experiences while i was in Europe for two months and it was exceptional! I couldn't have asked for better hosts and it was nice reciprocating as well. Hopefully in the future I will be able to return the favor :)

Interests

I LOOOOVE to eat (anything and everything!) and try different restaurants -you will never run out of those in montreal!). I love cooking for people, but not in a restaurant as I have recently discovered.

I like the great outdoors and any activies and sports involved. I will eventually love to get into Scuba diving and mountain climbing as soon as i get the chance (and money).

When I do have money I also like to travel =)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies.. so many I cant remember them all: Shankshaw Redemption, The Matrix Series, Minority Report, A Scanner Darkly, The Sixth Sense (or anything with Bruce Willis for that matter <3) , Sin City, 300, Fight Club, Donnie Darko, Lucky Number Sleven, Se7ev, Snatch, American History X. Aside from Hollywood films, I really enjoy watching strange and intersting films displayed at Film Festivals however i can never remember the titles. Same goes for hand drawn animations and anime.

Music: I have an extremely wide range of music interest, anything from rock to jazz to classical, dance, trip hop... i love bands like Incubus, Portishead, Tool, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails, Shinedown. Singers and Musicians like Chris Bottie, Sade..

Books... god i LOVEEE to read: anything by authors like Philip K. Dick, Neil Gaimen, Terry Pratchett. I've read so many books by so many authors I can't remember them all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone skydiving.. TWICE! Best experience I have ever had. It is just indescribable. Go do it!

*Update: I went Canyoning in Switzerland... that was just ridiculous.
