About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live a vibrant and brilliant life!
😂

ABOUT ME

I am "Vic" in the corporate world, working as an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Engineer since 2009. We can talk about CFB Boilers, Cranes, O&M of border security investigation, or about my current job in the field of super yacht design in the marine industry.

Most of my friends, however, know me as "Erald". I get all kinds of description, from very "outgoing" to being so "introvert", from being "hyperactive" to a person who like to "hibernate", the only common ground is that I'm at peace and i'm happy. If there's one thing i'll be thankful of, being part of this community, is that coming in terms with myself.

... and yeah! I'm raising the rainbow flag for gender equality and acceptance without exception.

Couchsurfing is a diverse community of people. I've met a lot of genuine and life-appreciating individuals, enjoying life has to offer and taking risks infinitely. It's just amazing.

Note: If you're planning to surf in my place, please check "My Home" description and copy and paste at least one of the things you can do in my home town in your message request. Please mention my whole name: "Victor Gerald".
See you!

PHILOSOPHY

Just live life as life, don't live according to its complications.

Our time on earth is limited to worry things and trying to control everything. Sometimes we have to accept things as they are, Let people live their lives as they want, and try to live life in a less stressful way (If possible, a peaceful way).

Also, I am into partying, chilling, drinking, Watching random people on the streets, Observing different things, Books, Coffee, Nature, Vintage or just feeling that the earth is moving under my feet, in other words: anything.

Books: I read everything informative, useful and those that take me into another world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Year 2007, I "saved" a friend that is drowning in an open water which also almost cost my life. I didn't know how to swim that time, but my instinct told me to go for her and try whatever I can do. Luckily, there were good souls (children aged 7-12, 7 of them) who saw and rescued the two of us before the wave almost took our lives. After that, I pushed myself to learn how to swim, but the fear of swimming in the open water haven't left me ever since.

or Climbing the most technical mountain in the Philippines: Mt. Guiting-Guiting in Sibuyan Island, Romblon.
