ABOUT ME
Uh what's up? I love hanging out and sharing stories (some of my best couchsurfing experiences have been just chillin into the late night hours drinkin wine and talking about life). I just graduated from UC berkeley with degrees in biology and rhetoric though my heart keeps pulling me back to art/art history (my rhetoric thesis was on Manet and the Impressionists, go figure), and no solid plan for the future. After doing a semester abroad in France I miss the opportunities to be constantly exposed to new culture and novel situations. I also did improv comedy throughout college and miss joking around like crazy.
PHILOSOPHY
just let it happen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When i lived in Paris I lived in a homestay so was unable to offer my space, but I met some people for coffee / to see the city; In my brief travels following paris i was lucky to couchsurf both in Strasbourg and Amsterdam... Having gradated, I've moved back "home" to Los Angeles...yeah dunno if parents would be down with couchsurfers, i'm gonna wager a "no" on that one.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
first time: strasbourg, in a word: "Kings Cup" en francais, les marches de noel, tarte flambee, crazy-med-school-dance-party, making crepes in the morning. also couchsurfed Amsterdam: in a word: riding on the handlebars of my host's bike through the snow from bar to bar and starting the night off with italian made shots of espresso.
Interests
Art - I love it, its history, creating it, talking about it, everything. It's rare that I go out duirng the day and forget to grab my sketchbook and pens.
Comedy/improv. At UC Berkeley I was in a comedy/improv team and I'm missing it terribly. It's fun, because who doesn't love laughing and being surrounded by funny people who make funny situations up randomly out of thin air? Always down to share jokes or play guitar. lets laugh it up.
Traveln': its having risks, adventures, and great stories for later, even if it means all boats off an island off the coast of sicily are cancelled and you find yourself holding a "VAI A PALERMO?" sign on the edge of some sicilian highway, its ALWAYS worth it.
Rock climbing - used to do it a lot, wish i did as much now, but i'm always down. and spelunking slash general exploring.
tennis.
