About Me
I was born on 8/8/88, a date the Chinese believe is very lucky. So far, I believe it too. My favorite thing in the world is growth. My least favorite thing is the taste of Tilsiter. I am indifferent to indifference. I play the banjo poorly.
I attempt living to mindfully eat. I also attempt eating to mindfully live. Many futile attempts still count. My favorite foods are avocado and cheese; I can not say how they feel about me. Lately I prefer silence over sound. Every book I read is my new favorite book. Red used to be my Number One Color, but has been replaced by all shades of blue.
I find something I love about every person I meet. So let's meet!
"Well, some people do hide and others seek. Maybe those who are in hiding- escaping encounters, avoiding surprises, protecting their property, ignoring their fantasies, restricting their feelings, sitting out the Pan pipe hootchy-kootch of experience- maybe those people, people who won't talk to rednecks, of if they're rednecks won't talk to intellectuals, people who're afraid to get their shoes muddy or their noses wet, afraid to eat what they crave, afraid to drink Mexican water, afraid to bet a long shot to win, afraid to hitchhike, jaywalk, honky-tonk, cogitate, osculate, levitate, rock it, bop it, sock it, or bark at the moon, maybe such people are simply inauthentic, and maybe the jackleg humanist who says differently is sure to have his tongue fried on the hot slabs of Liars Hell. Some folks hide, and some folks seek, and seeking, when it's mindless, neurotic, desperate, or pusillanimous can be a form of hidiing. But there are folks who want to know and aren't afraid to look and won't turn tail should they find it- and if they never do, they'll have a good time anyway because nothing, neither the terrible truth nor the absence of it, is going to cheat them out of one honest breath of earth's sweet gas."- Robbins, 1980

Living a week in the canopy of the Redwoods. Visiting Free Skools all over the US. Seeing the un-sunset of July in Yukon, Canada. Attending the biggest aviation conference in the world in Wisconsin. Raising a dog. Viewing hundreds of plaster cast-nipples framed on a studio wall in Washington. Swimming with manatees in Florida. Hopping an 8-hour freight train over the bayou into New Orleans. Hawaiian beach cookout, featuring kahlua pig roast. Teaching kids in New York about the forest. Seeing two oceans, one volcano, mammoth mountains, blonde plains, and every landscape in between in one calendar year across the US. Baking blackberry pies from fresh-picked patches near the gas station in Oregon.
