About Me

Hello stranger, my name is Estel and I was born and lived most of my life in Barcelona, Spain. Since the pandemic I decided to leave my beloved, but chaotic city and moved out with my partner to a little town in Badajoz. Here is where my grandparents grown up and I am being able to live the countryside life I have never had in my childhood. I think it’s been such a life changing experience for me and I feel very grateful. For me here time passes slowly and every day outside in the nature it’s kind of an adventure.

I consider myself a calm and respectful person, I'm always open to help and give recommendations to others in everything I can. When you get to know me I usually make jokes and I'm up for any plan. I enjoy visiting art and design expositions and attend live music concerts. I really enjoy doing crafts or anything that could be creative and start "projects" and never really finish them. These last years I have learned knitting, embroidery, painting with acrylics and watercolors, doing terrazzo tiles and modeling with polymer clay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this place is amazing for meeting interesting people and getting to know cities by locals. This community is really open-minding and you are able to see how different people are and get surprised by them.

Interests

I'm interested into the culture that the cities offers, especially focused on art, design and music, like art expositions, performances, concerts, outdoors events etc. and local food. I looove food and every time I travel I try to taste everything new that I can't usually find in my country (and then try to cook it at home or find the products online). It had already happened to me with rhubarb, chestnuts products, spätzle, malta drink, arepas, cachapas, eclairs, cannelle, porridge... the list is endless.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a huge part of my life. I really enjoy discovering new groups and go see them live. Nowadays I'm into post-rock, post-punk, psychedelic music and dream pop. You can check out my Last Fm profile to see what I'm currently listening to: http://www.lastfm.es/user/iamnesia

From time to time I watch films (less often I also watch tv-shows) and usually rate them on Filmaffinity: http://www.filmaffinity.com/es/userratings.php?user_id=120786

I have recently started reading again and focusing on classics or books focused on fields I enjoy such as nature or graphic design.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Talk and get responded by a sheep.

Teach, Learn, Share

I consider myself a very curious person and I'm interested in all kinds of stuff like music, arts and illustration, crafts, cooking, plant care... so I would like to learn pretty much everything. Also I studied Graphic Design, so I could exchange some knowledge in this field.

What I Can Share with Hosts

What are you interested in? If we have common interests we can exchange some knowledge, if not no problem, I really enjoy learning about things I don't know.
