ABOUT ME

I am a crazy and capricious girl. I live and love freely and find happiness in almost everything I do. I am sweet and friendly and open and honest and reckless and I love the thrill of the unknown. I love meeting strangers and I am dangerously spontaneous.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that love is the only thing that truly matters in the world. I spend my days trying to put as much of it into the world as I can and have found that life comes easy when you ask for nothing and have everything to give.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Did my fair share of surfing as I was traveling. Now that I'm settled down in Wanaka, NZ for a couple months before I head back to the states looking to return the favor.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed couches in New Zealand and Southeast Asia, can't wait to finally host some fellow surfers :)

Interests

reading, writing, art, movies, traveling, sleeping, coffee and cigarettes, laying on the beach, every ocean, live music, playing hookie, bacon egg & cheese on an everything bagel, beers in the evenings, mimosas on saturday mornings, and anything new.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now I'm listening to King Khan & the BBQ Show, The Points, The Dirty Projectors, The Zombies, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Kooks, Elliott Smith, Sam Cooke, and rjd2, but the list is endless. The Big Lebowski is far and away my all-time favorite movie and I don't watch much TV. There is too much else to do in the world! When I do watch, it's usually something funny like It's Always Sunny, Family Guy, 30 Rock, etc., etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We were on safari in the Serengeti last March, driving towards the Ngorongoro Crater. The sun was immense in the crepuscular sky and as the fiery star dipped beneath the crater rim's horizon, I felt overwhelmed with all the beauty in the world. It was at that moment I knew I had to see as many places as possible. That sunset changed my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe I can teach people how to be open and honest with themselves, and how to care about what really matters in the world. I am an infectious personality that tries to bring joy wherever I go.

As far as learning I would love to learn how to surf and play the guitar. And of course learn as much about new cultures as I can.
