About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get out and see and experience the real world before we decide to get tied down with the "real world" (jobs, house, etc...) After living and working in VT for 6 years, we decided it was time to quit our jobs and set out on this mission!
ABOUT ME
We met at University of Vermont, and we both lived there for 6 years total, and lived together for 2 of those 6 years. At college, neither of us ever had the opportunity to study abroad, something that we both were very interested in. We had talked about moving to another country to immerse ourselves in a culture other than that of the United States, and finally Becky had the idea to move to New Zealand for a year. So, we decided to save up, quit our jobs, and do just that!
PHILOSOPHY
Play now, work later...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My sister has been CouchSurfing for a couple years now, and not until meeting many of her friends that she made on the site did I realize how much of an amazing community it is. I wish I had joined sooner so I would have been able to host people while I still lived in Vermont, but the future will hold many new opportunities to do that!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted a few CouchSurfers with my sister in Vermont, and I have spent a lot of time with countless other visiting CouchSurfers that I have met through my sister and have heard nothing but positive things about their experiences. I am very excited about going to New Zealand and hopefully meeting other people from the CouchSurfing community there!
Interests
There are so many things that we are interested in, but some of the big ones are all forms of exploring, hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, biking, traveling, swimming, cliff jumping, cooking, potlucks (eating!), chilling, good food, good drinks, good people, good conversation! playing board games, listening to/creating music, reading books, playing in the sun, and most importantly loving the life we live!
