About Me

I am a young professional living in Kansas City, USA. I was born in the US and have lived here all my life. Here is some stuff about me: In college I was a radio DJ, I own 4 snakes (with plans on getting more eventually), I prepare fireworks for shows sometimes, and I am an amateur photographer (just started). I love to explore and visit new places. I love meeting new people but I can be a little shy at first. I usually warm up to people fast, though, so that isnt a big deal. I am nuts about food and i like to cook (even though im not too good at it). I love animals and will probably tell you many animal facts if we meet. Im not really sure how to end this so message me if you want to know more!

Edit: I also picked up a cat. Sorry to all the surfers that are allergic!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My parents didn't travel with me as a kid so I would like to make that up as i grow older. I have only left the US once and that was to go to Canada for a bit. I figure I have to be proactive in my traveling and making a profile on here can help

Interests

I absolutely love animals and science. If you tell me facts about animals I will love you forever (maybe not but id appreciate it). I have a membership to the zoo here in KC so if you want to go sometime it is free for me and a guest to get in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have sooo many favorite artists and books that it is hard to pinpoint. Some of my favorite books are Lord of the Rings, many Lovecraft short stories, the Enders Shadow series, Game of Thrones, and biographies like A Long Walk To Freedom or Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman. I also like science themed books like Your Inner Fish and A Universe Within. When I was a child my favorite book was a science encylopedia which is where my interest in animals started.

For music it is even harder to pin down a favorite artist or group. I was a radio DJ in college so i spun a lot of bands. I think at this moment my favorite band is Jeff Rosenstock/BTMI. Some runner ups include the National, Fleet Foxes, Hop Along, Sleater Kinney, Why?, Busdriver, and many many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After rarely traveling as a child I took a two week trip to Quebec and stayed in a hostel for the entire time.
