Overview
About Me
My Dad was a military helicopter pilot so I grew up in Qatar and went to school in England. I was a semi-professional windsurfer and began travelling and never really stopped. I learnt to surf and understand empathy at University where I studied Theology with Philosophy. Because of a successful business investment in the Canary Islands with my brother, I took off for 10 years around the world looking for waves. Eventually, the money ran out and I became a teacher. Isn't that how it always goes? Anyway, Taiwan is going to be country number 49 and it looks to be a really good job. Fingers crossed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I met someone funny in Beijing who came for three days and stayed for 6 weeks. She told me about couchsurfing which I thought sounded really odd. I'm beginning to understand. I am looking for a room/ apartment share in Taipei and was advised to,
"Join Couchsurfing groups like “Taiwan” and “Taipei” and post an inquiry. Introduce yourself, and let the group know what kind of accommodations you are looking for, when, and where. You’ll be sure to get responses."
And so here I am...
