About Me

Hi, I am from Hawaii and spend about 6 weeks a year doing road trips around the western region of US. I often travel solo and meeting new people and making new connections can be challenging. I have a SUV I converted for camping and traveling and it is basically my mini 4wd RV. My interest are biking, surfing, hiking, arts of any kind, architecture, history, plants, landscaping and the list goes on and on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new friends, have engaging conversations with others of various backgrounds. Also to get some exposure to others lifestyles, friends, interest, etc. . I am pretty self sufficient but in some areas camping and especially getting a shower is surprisingly difficult. So a place to park and get clean can really make my day. Often it's not a problem but currently for example all public lands have been shut down due to wildfires. So situations on the road always change and I have to adapt as well. Aloha

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to just about anything. As for movies and books I'm so out of the loop . Hopefully that means I'm living more, watching less👍.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yesterday I saw a osprey dive completely underwater and come out with a fish. Minutes later saw a wasp take down a horsefly. He stung it hundreds of times bit the flys face off, rolled him in the mud, picked him up and flew away.. All that was left were two eyes and a mouth. Definitely the most gruesome, extraordinary, and efficient work of nature. Also # 2067 way I hope to never die. That was just a few minutes in one day.
