About Me

Graduated from college last year in Biomedical Engineering and have since spent time working in California and more recently back home in Ireland waiting tables, doing handyman work around beautiful houses and lending my dab hand to farmwork on a dairy farm!
Trying to squeeze the maximum enjoyment out of life and am happy to chase ideas and notions for a few years before picking up an Engineering job. I would love to work in R&D in the Biomedical world and help advance medicine and healthcare as a career and be part of the frighteningly fast process being made this century.
Have recently taken the next step on the big adventure and purchased a one way ticket to Portland, Oregon after hearing so many great things about it. So myself and a good friend are travelling there together to chase the American dream whatever that entails of!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The places we travel to are made up of the people who live there. The sights are great to see and the weather nice to soak up but the experiences we take away are the friendships we form and the memories we make on warm summer nights at 2 in the morning silly with wine and laughter.
I am using Couchsurfing to meet these people and hopefully make friends that continue to be friends once the couch exchange is finished.

Music, Movies, and Books

John Steinbeck is my favourite author but that can change as often as my clothes. Everything in human nature is contained within the pages of East of Eden.

Good music is good music regardless of genre. Everything from Kendrick Lamar to The Tallest Man On Earth and everything in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam through a bat infested underwater cave in Guatemala with the only source of light being the flickering candles we held above our heads whilst swimming. This included climbing up a waterfall beating down on us on a length of rope. Health and Safety would have a field day there!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good company and laughter and am not afraid to get hands dirty with any work that has to be done around the homeplace!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, England, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Portugal, Scotland, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
