About Me

Easy, outgoing, chill and social couple. We enjoy outdoor recreations such as snowboarding, mountain climbing, biking, hiking and anything on the water. Meeting new people from all over the world and learning about their lives, different cultures and places is so much fun and leaves you with sometimes the best friendships. Also seeing/learning about a place from the perspective of a local has more our interest than only seeing the touristy side. Having a few beers, sharing travelstories, interests and laughs; just the simple things in life really!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why most people are on here: it’s great experience and a great way to meet new people wherever you are in the world. And it is way more fun and remarkable than staying in hotels or whatever. It is also a nice way to get to know more about new places in a short period of time and see it from another side than an everyday tourist!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ian: I went on a motorbike for the first time in my life in Vietnam and did the Northern loop for a week. Both amazing and terrifying sometimes!
Sanne: Living in a van in New Zealand together with Ian and work there with the local people. Having a van as a house is another way of traveling a country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some good, fun company. We’re always down for hanging out, but very chill and flexible if you want the time for yourself. We’re really fortunate to travel and meet people all over the world and make new friends, so we will respect your house and rules. We also love to share our love for movies/series and (drinking) games if you’re interested!
Both of us are yoga teachers, so that’s also something we could share with you :)
