About Me

Hey there! I'm an entrepreneur by day and a drummer by night. I am an avid experience chaser, if I haven't tried it, that just means I haven't gotten there yet! Insta is @ianwas_here

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel like staying with local surfers will give me such a better taste of the area and culture I am visiting compared to seeing all of the standard tourist points.

Interests

I find that I am fascinated by how the world works so I go out of my way to learn everything I possibly can about well...anything really. That is probably why I became a mechanic many years ago.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite Music: I don't think there is a genre that I don't enjoy but some favourites are,
A Day To Remember, Dierks Bentley, The Strokes, Avicii, Parkway Drive, Ludovico Einaudi, AFI (or any of Davie Havok's bands), Veysal, Iration, Tech N9ne, Led Zeppelin, Big Bang, Showtek, B.U.G. Mafia, Krewella, Modest Mouse, Scandroid, R.E.M., Landon Pigg, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Thrice, Yanni, and so so so many more.

Favourite Movies: Gladiator, Across the Universe, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Split, Brazil or anything by Terry Gilliam, Stardust, The Matrix, Inception, most of Tim Burton's movies, and especially indie/dark/thought provoking films.

Favourite Books: This is so hard as I have loved so many books! But off the top of my head, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (I have a tattoo from that) Game Of Thrones, Blue like Jazz, The Harry Potter series, all of Haruki Murakami's books (I'm not done with all of them, but almost there), The Robe, Paradise Lost, and (oddly enough) The Life Changing Magic Of Tidying up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to build Satellites for Nasa. It may not be the most amazing thing but it sure was awesome.
