About Me
48yr old male, safe, sane and fell in love with cycling once again. Disabled with back and chronic pain problems but still cycling and raising money for Charity along the way.
Able to fix almost anything and have been running my own business for the past 15 years changing anything from tap washers to building new homes and extensions.
Enjoy and adventure and happy to meet and make new friends along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First of all check out my Facebook Page;

In late June 2017 to early July 2017 i will be raising money for Prostate Cancer UK by cycling 1612 miles on a mini Tour De France and riding 7 official stages of the 2017 TDF. Starting from London i will cross the channel from Harwich to the Hook of Holland where i will cycle to Amsterdam and on to Arnhem for the first day. I will then cycle down to Dusseldorf and cycle the first stage of the TDF time trial. I meet up with the Prostate Cancer UK Cycling Team on the 23rd June and the next day we all cycle the official Grand Depart Classic, the 2nd Stage finishing at Liege in Belgium before being transported by coach to Brussels.
The next day my lone tour begins as i say goodbye to the rest of the team and cycle my way back to Vivers where i take on and follow stages 3,4,5 & 6 all the way to Troyes in France.
I will then head north to Paris and take on the final stage of the Tour De France and start to head for the city of Rouen and along the coast via Caen and onto Cherbourg where i will cross the channel again arriving at Portsmouth before heading for the finish line in London.
This is my challenge for 2017 where i hope to raise around £5000.00 for Prostate Cancer UK and to give me the chance for a bit of training to take on the Transcontinental #6 or#7.
Yes i could stay in hotels or camp sites but you don't get to meet real people or enjoy any of the sites around the area, including the quite little watering holes called bars and cafes. I dont want to turn this ride in to a choir, i want to turn this ride in to a memory of fun and meeting new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is various as i use to DJ, but i like riding to 60's/70's/80's rock, soul, R&B, Motown. Anything with a good beat that's uplifting. Movies, omg, so many. I prefer factual movies rather than sci/fi. Not into romance type movies or chick flicks!
Books, give me a good engineering manual or history book any day over a story book!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Managed to get back on a bike after 20yrs being told by doctors i wouldnt. And raising £4730.00 for charity doing it.
Cycled in Malaysia, Dubai, France, Mallorca and with luck soon this will include Holland, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and more of France
