Hi there! My name is Ian. I'm a Yankee by blood, but currently live in Dallas because a lot of stuff and a lot of jobs basically. But it's my intention to return north in a couple of years and eventually immigrate to Ireland where I can focus on my writing career.

I am a part-time fiction writer, mostly horror and sci-fi though I do dabble in other genres. My favorite authors are H.P. Lovecraft, Anne McCaffrey, George Orwell, and Thomas Ligotti. My library is something I'm quite proud of, as it is composed of two entire shelves stuffed to the brim, including on top. There are several very fine, unique pieces in there which I can happily show off if you're a fellow bookworm or armchair scholar!

I am asexual (probably the only one in a ten mile radius around my home) with a leaning towards same-sex romantic relationships, though any cuddle is a good cuddle if you ask me. Just don't try anything!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm Couchsurfing primarily because it's cheap. But subconsciously, it also hearkens back to a simpler time when folks can stop by, have a good time, and then just stay the night before moving on to the next. It appeals to the gypsy wanderlusting spirit in me and I think it opens up tremendous opportunities to meet amazing people and share amazing experiences!
