About Me

I am an eager dude, often excited by life and people! I'm pretty low key and enjoy taking my alone time as well. I do improv several nights a week, write (plays and short stories), play music, and practice Yoga! I also like cooking and making condiments (pickles, salsa, hummus). I will ask you questions if that is okay, if not, I'm happy to be a calm quiet presence. I'm in the middle of a two month long "self" journey of solo travel in the south, a yoga training, and a silent meditation retreat!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travelled with a buddy in Paris and he did couch surfing while I stayed in a hostel. I ended up hanging out with him and cooking a meal for his host -- I really preferred how personal his experience was, and I want the opportunity to meet people! This time I'm traveling, I'd like to try out couch surfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

TOO many!! I'll saw my recent favorites of each three.

The last movie I loved was Take This Waltz written/directed by Sarah Polley (a sad romance)
The last book I loved was Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed (a collection of a breathtakingly beautiful advice column)
The last album I loved was Skylight by Pinegrove (indie folk rock with blue grass and emo influences)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Northern Thailand I rented a bike, bought a map, and biked to an interesting looking lake. I had the spiciest thing I've ever eaten. It was a SPICY SALAD! !?? It was painful and delicious and painful and so delicious.

Teach, Learn, Share

I play guitar some and do some yoga and could teach some of that stuff!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook some yummy vegetarian food! I'll make a salad and you'll go, woh that looks healthy, and also, woh that tastes good.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, France, Indonesia, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom
