About Me
Movie nut. Movie maker. Movies movies movies.
Like, this past summer I redesigned my movie collection. Not expanded: redesigned, with custom covers and uniform cases (I like pretty-looking things) because apparently that's where my life priorities are.
As stereotypical as it sounds, travelling is a passion of mine. Currently carrying out a love-affair with mountains (the pointier the better!) I love food and eating, and exploring local cuisines and delicacies. I'm trying to figure out how to cook stuff, and I'm totally down to share recipes / cook a meal or two for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people (and the beautiful views) are the best parts of travel. Hostels are great, but meeting a local and getting to pick their brains? Even better!
I've been really lucky with my opportunities to not only travel, but live in different countries. I really love the experience of really living - not just visiting - a place, and experiencing it like locals do. I find that takes a lot of the orientalism out of travelling and helps make connections with other cultures. But I can't always spend months living in foreign countries, so crashing with locals is the next-best thing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While living in Japan, one of my friends called me and asked what I was doing the following weekend. Seven days later, I was standing on the top of Mt. Fuji. I'll be honest- I didn't think I was physically capable of doing it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Personalized obscure movie recommendations, allergy-sensitive meals (I've been told I make a mean mushroom risotto, and chicken parm), and Mario Kart!
