ABOUT ME

*** this has not been updated in a little over a year. I'll take the time to do it soon, but until then I want to open my couch for business!***

Biking around with the vague idea of making it to Brazil someday. It's been nice to leave daily life behind and have some time to ponder what I want to get out of my short human existence. There are many problems and fucked up things about the United States and the role we have played/are still playing in the world. I'm not trying to escape those problems but rather learn, gain perspective and hopefully return home with more of an idea of my part in creating positive change

Andando en bici por México ahorita con un idea de llegar en Brazil alguna día... quizás. Estaba listo dejar mi vida diaria en los estados unidos para pensar en que quiero hacer con mi existencia corta en este mundo. Hay muchas cosas jodidas sobre los estados unidos y nuestro papel que hemos tenido/tenemos ahora mismo en el mundo global. En este viaje no intento escapar estas problemas pero verlas de otra perspectiva y, espero que, vuelva a mi hogar con un idea de que parte puedo tener en creando cambios positivos.

Hosting and surfing. When I host folks I like to try to give them a more intimate look into my home and community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The couchsurfing community is rad, I love getting to know a place through the eyes of a local and being able to offer that to others is also quite rewarding.

Buenisimo! me encanta conocer un logar nuevo con alguien que quiere compartir su hogar y sus experiencia conmigo. Es una manera muy distinta explorar este mundo.

Interests

I want to share more conversations with people where we are looking at each each other or at an idea and understanding, without thinking about it, just how beautiful it is to share that moment/idea. Even if we don't understand each other (which is, to some extent, always the case) I want to feel how important it is to always keep trying to understand each other and this world

What you have to share. I want to hear about people's art and creative practices. I'm into creative writing and photography and enjoy seeing art that people produce. I love hearing about good new music/books/movies etc. and sharing the art I love with others. I want to connect with more artists. Understanding people.

Social justice, Feminism, slack lining, acro yoga , snowboarding,rock climbing, jumping off of cliffs, swimming, rafting and doing anything else outside. People watching, photography, random adventures/shenanigans.

Quiero compartir más conversaciones, mirandonos a una al otra o hablando en un idea y quiero entender, sin pensándolo, la belleza que sea compartir este momento/idea. Y aun si no nos entendemos (cual es el caso casi siempre en una forma o otra) yo quiero sentir como importante es que continuamos tratando de entender una al otra y este mundo mejor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met some rad people in the jungle in Peru and we built a raft and went down a section of the Madre de Dios river in the Amazon. We were super underprepared and had basically no idea what we were doing. It ended up being the sketchiest most epic journey I've experienced to date.

En las amazonas de Perú me encontré con algunas personas fantásticas y construimos unas balsas para bajar una trama del río Madre De Dios. No estuvimos bien preparados y not tenía ningún idea que hicimos y al fin fue el más peligroso y más genial aventura de mi vida.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching and learning! I can share a lot about slack-lining (I'm currently traveling with one and would love to set it up and play with you). I can teach you how to do a handstand. I love learning and teaching languages and can teach Spanish and English and the bit of Portuguese I know. I have some construction and building skills and am happy to contribute them where I can.

I'm always ready to learn something new. I want to learn to break dance and am into learning other types of dance as well I love hearing people talk about their passions, I'm always learning.

Me encanta aprendiendo y enseñando! Puedo enseñarte hacer slack-lining (tengo un slackline conmigo y me encantaría jugar contigo!).
Puedo enseñar como hacer paro de manos. Me gusta mucho aprendiendo y enseñando español y puedo enseñar inglés y un poco de portuguese. Tmb tengo alguna experiencia con construcción y puedo ayudar con un proyecto que tienes.

Siempre estoy listo aprender lo que quieres compartir. Quiero aprender hacer breakdancing y otros tipos de baila tmb. Me haría muy feliz oír de rus pasiones y intereses.
