ABOUT ME
Trying to be funny on your profile doesn't always go down well across the board, so I'm going to take a straight-up approach here, don't fall asleep.
I am a global citizen roaming the planet with a somewhat nomadic existence. I love the thrill of flying and the adventure of discovering new places, meeting new people, and embracing new cultures and norms beyond my own. I have an inquisitive mind and I like to ask a lot of questions. You can be sure whatever the time of day I'm dreaming of some far off place in some benign country.
Born and raised in South Africa, I recently lived in Switzerland for almost 2 years, but I am now back in South Africa on somewhat of a gap year. My home grounds are shared equally between Durban and Cape Town.
I love to explore and experience a city or country from a local’s perspective and I’m not always over eager to see all the tourist sights, although sometimes I do like to indulge in the main attractions. I enjoy the company of foreigners and love to delve into the core issues perceived as such in the countries I visit.
PHILOSOPHY
-Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer
-The more you experience, the wealthier you become
-Wealth is a state of mind
-People should smile more
-Love wins, always
-Experience is everything
-It's not the destination that counts, it's the journey
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf and host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed with great hosts in Antwerp, Boston and Abu Dhabi. In Abu Dhabi I went to the local group's weekly get-together where I got to meet all the local couchsurfers. Recently hosted an Australian from Australia.

The Aviation Industry - Aircraft, airlines, airports, British Airways, Emirates, RyanAir, SouthWest Airlines. Music, dance, travel, photography, trains, and all things remotely related to travel. Ideologies, opinions, mindsets and thinking patterns. Politics. Interesting people not afraid to live beyond their comfort zone and people who do not conform. Experiencing new places, especially in Europe. The United Kingdom, the British Monarchy, and monarchy systems. The European Union. Economics. Big butts.
