ABOUT ME
I've written a lot below...so much so that I can't think of what to put here!
PHILOSOPHY
I consider myself an anthropology student for life; that is, I believe personal growth and life perspective are benefitted immensely by a willingness to learn from others who come from different cultural backgrounds.
I also try to humbly abide by Proverbs 3:5-6.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I currently feel like a nomad, as I've lived in 8 different places over the last 3 years. So, while I can only meet and surf for now, once I settle down, I would love to host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a newbie! I've only surfed once before, but I loved the experience.
Interests
Living life with a purpose, learning from mistakes, and becoming a better person. The circumstances by which this occurs? I'll leave it up to God. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
I wish I liked reading more than I actually do, but nevertheless, my favorite books are: To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee), All the Names (Jose Saramago), The Scarlet Letter (Nathaniel Hawthorne), The Crucible (Arthur Miller), A Separate Peace (John Knowles), Waiting for the Barbarians (J.M. Coetzee), The Metamorphosis (Franz Kafka), and the Bible
As for movies, my favorites include: Journey from the Fall (2006), Babel (2006), District 9 (2009), The Dark Knight (2008), Finding Neverland (2004), and Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
Music: American Folk, Progressive Bluegrass (Newgrass), Classical (particularly Romantic), Big Band, Musical Theater, 40s and 50s music, and "Coffeehouse" Acoustic
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've often found that an experience one person finds mundane can often be seen as amazing through another's eyes. So, if you want to hear something amazing, perhaps we should just talk in person. Most likely, I'll learn something amazing about you as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to share my experiences in anthropology, journalism, Christianity, environmental science, and how to be thrifty with one's personal budget (seriously!). I'm also not afraid to admit ignorance, as I love learning new things.
