About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience the world and meet her friendly inhabitants

ABOUT ME

I have hosted people at our place in Leipzig and spent 16 months travelling around the world during which time I had many wonderful hosts and experiences. I enjoy music, art, writing and conversation. In my travels and during my hosting I have met tons of great people and had many wonderful experiences and I want to continue this through hosting and travelling. From Indian families to Malaysian bachelors, I've had loads of great hosts and guests and consider myself lucky to have met them all. Many of my acquaintances have become good friends and I'm looking for more all the time. I am easygoing, open-minded and fun. I also love to cook :)

If you stay with us in LE and want to learn more about the history of the city (especially the music) or the (sub)culture here, I'll glady show you around. In the West where we live is the new, "ermerging" arts scene and there is usually something interesting going on. We also live right at the park, so in the warmer months BBQs are frequent. I also love to cook so if you are hungry travellers that's great too!

Please note that we have quite a few couch surfers and are also very active in travelling ourselves, going to concerts, festivals etc. So if you ask for a place to stay one day before you arrive, the chances are good we are away or we have already said yes to someone else. Giving us a week's notice before you get to Leipzig would be nice and we can prepare better and organize our schedules so that you will enjoy your time here. If you find yourself needing a couch 2 days before you get to Leipzig use the emergency couch forum (https://www.couchsurfing.org/group.html?gid=9058). That is what it's for :)

If you visit during the English Football season and are a fan, a trip to the local Irish pub is a must but please be aware that if your team is playing Everton you will surely lose.

PHILOSOPHY

In an absurd world where meaning is based on the pursuit of wealth and competition amongst individuals in spite of the fact that the futility of searching for intrinsic meaning in a random Universe is epitomized by death; it's nice to see there are groups of people who still believe in a social bond and fellowship between inhabitants of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted people at our place in Germany and have stayed with many people during our world travels. Currently I live in an international house with an Italian, an Indian, a Welsh and a French guy. We are all very friendly and like to talk, cook, play music and party. We often have visitors and big Italian dinners with lots of wine and guests are a common occurence.

I am also an active musician in the Leipzig scene and play with this band here: https://www.facebook.com/CoxandtheRiot or http://www.coxandtheriot.com/

So, if you are a musician and want to jam or just someone who wants to learn more about the great leipzig music scene, send me a mail!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met lots of great people around the world who were kind enough to take me in, knowledgable enough to teach me about the place where they live and fun enough to make it all a good time.
