About Me

Hi! I'm currently living in Czech Republic as an Erasmus student from Russia. In the motherland I'm studying linguistics and especially translation: Russian, English and French. But I don't know French as well as English (I can't really speak it haha). Living in Czech, I'm studying Czech language as well. Also I used to live in Brighton, England for a studying (it was the most marvelous experience I have ever had)

Besides this, I really adore traveling, so I have been to some countries and now I'm in progress! I would like to meet new people and will appreciate any help with acknowledging another countries. And I may tell you something interesting too about my trips and other stuff :)

(I know that the part about traveling and meeting new people is pretty basic bla bla but It is really the truth and that truth is making everyone in couchsurfing feel alive. It makes me feel alive too. Please consider it.)

“You pray so badly for heaven,
Knowing any day might be the day that you die.
But maybe life on earth could be heaven,
Doesn't just the thought of it make it worth the try?”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is not like I'm going to tell different tales about only wanting to know new people, (which is not a lie, but) also I'm a student. And as a student I do not have much money to stay in hotels and hostels. I'm also spontaneous and this is my problem: one moment and I am on spot deciding where and when to travel. It is simple passion to explore something new and I will really appreciate your help with my little dreams becoming true.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all the kinds of music, but one of my favorites is neoclassic (Yann Tiersen, Roberto Cacciapagila, Fabrizio Paterlini, Ludovico Einaudi, Misha Mishenko). I also like soft music (James Blunt, Mgzavrebi, The Retuses, Dead Man's Bones, IAMX, Coldplay, Mujuice), but sometimes in right mood I would dance to everything with the cool beat (Little Big, Motorama, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Twenty One Pilots). Mood makes all the stuff about music.

As for the movies, I do not watch them a lot, but I have my favorites: Detachment (2011), The Pianist (2002), Midnight in Paris (2011), Leon (1994), The Legend of 1900 (1998), Inception (2010).

I really like serials and there is my list of the best of them: Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Sense8

And the last one about it is cartoons! My favorites are Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, Howl's Moving Castle, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Also I have read a lot of books. Now I'm more into comics (webtoons, manga, etc.) but still have some titles of the books in mind: Novecento (by Alessandro Baricco (this book had inspired the movie "The Legend of 1900"), The Book Thief (by Markus Zusak), All the Light We Cannot See (by Anthony Doerr), The Old Man and the Sea (by Ernest Hemingway), The Great Gatsby (by Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald), The Master and Margarita (by Mikhail Bulgakov). And my favorite writers are Neil Gaiman and Jules Gabriel Verne (I like all the books they have written).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day i decided to make a patchwork pillowcase as a New Year's present for my friend from another city. It took me 6 hours to sew everything only with hands, because I don't have any sewing machine. He likes it and still uses it in spite of the fact that we are not friends already.

Another day me and my friend snuck into the football field and climbed up on the one of the spotlights. We weren't caught by the security (oopsie, haha).

Oh, and a couple of times I was performing on the stage with the single-handedly standup comedy (don't ask me to joke please ahaha).

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can share with you? First of all, I can share my memories. There are a lot of them: my first cruise ship traveling from Finland to Sweden, the most awesome skateboarding falling in England, lots of people I have met and lots of wonderings about the people I would like to meet.

What you can share with me? Everything. I will listen to everything: from local jokes to your favorite corner shop in the other part of the city. I like these things and like people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with you Russian cuisine, tell you about this country more than you would know from news, because news tell only about politics. Russian people are awesome. They are awesome not for surviving in a really cold weather, not for drinking, They are awesome because of the character, because of their humorous nature that helps to handle different situations. I love it and hope you will love it too.

(Oh and I can teach you some easy stuff about skateboarding)
