About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To solve that age old question - suitcase or backpack...

ABOUT ME

If I was speed dating right now, and some was shooting questions at me, Iâ

PHILOSOPHY

Im not a religious person at all, but do like the message that many convey, of essentially trying to be a good person. I always try to help out friends and strangers, as it all goes round. Certainly traveling in the mid east i have been a huge recipient of the kindness of others.

I believe people should take more responsibility for their actions, and not always look to someone else, and that staying fit and healthy is one of the best things you can do for your self - no one else will do it for you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Started surfing a few years ago, and now enjoying repaying the favours.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spent a lot of time on peoples couches and made some good friend who i still keep in touch with today. Almost entirely positive!

Interests

Beach and surfing, cooking up massive dinners for mates (especially on Sundays), House parties and BBQ's, reading good books and watching good movies (always keen to hear what some one has really enjoyed).

Me and my house mates converted our garage into a bar, so hosting parties and drinks on weekends and having friends around is pretty central to our house culture (five of us all together) So i guess socializing and meeting ppl is an interest.

Drawing, learning about art, old buildings, cool bars and live music. Would love to learn another language, though struggle for the time

Music, Movies, and Books

enjoy a lot of movies, but only good ones...I guess. Some favourites would have to be Donnie Darko, american history x, lord of the rings (had no idea what was going on in the books untill i saw the films), inc, and of course old school & road trip would have to make it in there for laughs.

Huge fan of Rock and i find the older i get, the older i like may bands. Started with the smashing pumkins, back to nirvana, to guns and roses, the who, alice cooper, rolling stones and so forth. Also enjoy the electro rock scene that's taken Perth and Australia by storm. Its great to see people enjoy be on stage and perform, rather than just chasing a pay cheque

As for books, having just come from the middle east, been reading widely on the regions history, the Abrahamic religions, Israel and the Ottomans. Pretty fascinating place

When it comes to music i think i was born éà years to late! really enjoy guns n roses, queen, led zeplin, rolling stones, the who and so on. Anything classic or stadium rock will always have a place in my record player. As for contemporary stuff, im into the electro hybrid scene that is kind of the sound of my generation back home. Stuff like Presets, phoenix, the xx, art vs science and so on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have seen and done too many things, but saw one of my chickens lay an egg the other week, so that takes top spot for now!
