About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take risks and meet as many people as possible

ABOUT ME

Hi! I am Ian. I am a down to earth, easy-going person who is somewhere in between extroverted and introverted. I have been privilesged enough to spend time traveling which has motivated me to meet travelers and show the hospitality that was shown to me. I am passionate about music, sports, reading, geography, languages, and culture.

PHILOSOPHY

"Life isn't about hiding from the storm, but dancing in the rain."
Movement is only as great as the stillness that you bring to it." - Pico Iyer
"We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."- Charles Swindoll

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was fortunate enough to spend time volunteering at a migrant shelter on the Mexico-US border. I was able to live in solidarity with the guests who were undocumented refugees from Latin America, learn about the complexities of the US immigration system, and hear the narratives of individuals whom normally don't have a voice

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a big believer in passing on the art. I am lucky enough to know some guitar. I enjoy taking my guitar when I travel to share, learn, and teach the craft of guitar with/to others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Music, conversations, ideas, books.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, China, Ecuador, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Mongolia, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam
