ABOUT ME

I'm a student and a musician, just not of the most serious kind. I'm a native Briton in exile in lovely Canada after some hard time spent in Russia.

兴趣

I am a guitarist. I started on electric, but trained in Russia on classical stuff. I love to play all music, and I would love to play with you, whether you are a prodigy or a beginner, whether you play the violin or the drums or the spoons :-)

I like sport, maybe too much. I play squash, cricket and Rugby Fives (like squash, but you play with your hands...it's kind of weird...).

I'm kind of obsessed by cycling as well. Check out my current mission. I'm inexplicably serious about doing this.

Music: Anything. I know people always say this, but I really mean it. Music makes me happier than anything else in the world, so whatever floats your boat does it for me too.

Movies: I like really, really silly movies.

Books: I'm a bookworm; I love studying and I love Russian literature especially. I'm particularly interested in Chernyshevskii and Dostoevskii in the 1860s, so if you want to get really geeky with me...

Orkney - remote, desolate, beautiful. I think it's impossible to explain quite how amazing it is until you go.
