About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the perspectives of the world to learn as much as possible!

ABOUT ME

Well.... me name is ian. i'm an abnormal guy looking to meet new people. I grew up in ohio, realized its boring there, so i might not be a CO native but i got there as fast as i could! I got done hiking the Appalachian Trail last year and wish i had heard of couch surfing before that. Right now i'm loving life working as a raft guide, rock climbing guide, and have a few other side jobs. I am really involved in the sustainable/ real food movement. I'm usually busy as could be but would love to share my house with any and all. While I travel abroad I hope to meet nice people willing to connect and become friends.

PHILOSOPHY

The wisest man has not only read the most books but has also seen the most.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a few surfers while I am at home and have loved it! I hope to balance the karma and surf on some couches soon!

Interests

My passion is in making the world more liveable and my outlet is through organic gardening. My job, hobby, and education is about community gardening and cultivating a resilient culture. When I am not digging in the dirt you can find me rock climbing, rafting, or backpacking. I have been known to be an avid rock climber and feel like that's how i get the biggest high in my life! I also love to learn because I feel like I transgress. I love food. Love it. I also like to laugh and giggle like a little kid.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Hiked the Appalachian Trail
- Biked across the US
- Slapped a racoon
- Went 500 feet down into our earth
- But there is so much more to do...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can Brew Beer, make cheese, bake bread, garden like a mad man, rock climb, raft like an old man on the river, and smile like Gandhi himself, well maybe not Gandhi. I would love to learn or teach any skills!
