Overview
About Me
Lifelong learner, engineer, and health advocate. Interested in meeting like-minded folks and working on meaningful projects, big and small.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe in prosocial behaviours over capitalist ones, especially to break down barriers in education and health. I think programs like couchsurfing can be more sustainable and healthy than feeding capital machines.
I previously worked in engineering and health policy, and travelled the world for meetings. Most experiences were in hotels, which felt unhealthy. I now try to live a more sustainable life, and believe programs like CS can be a part of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Survived a riptide in California.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about health systems locally and globally, with a focus on cancer care.
I want to learn about new cultures and expand my cultural humility.
I can share historic tidbits of Toronto.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a background in engineering and medicine with a focus on cancer control, have formal training as a trauma coach, and have some skill/interest in data science (social networks, python, and mixed methods where I'm learning NLP).
I enjoy engaging others in discussion about a broad range of topics, hopefully with tangible outcomes.
Would love to discuss projects, experiences, and life in general with hosts and travellers.
