CURRENT MISSION

I was living on a houseboat in Oregon and now I'm back in Las Vegas working as a Food Server and studying to become a Ballroom Dance Instructor.

ABOUT ME

I consider myself a simple, easy-going guy. Honestly, I find myself a little at odds with glamour and glitz that Las Vegas is known for. I'm very much the type of person that would much rather sit down for a cup of coffee and exchange stories about our lives and our travels than step foot inside a club and get drunk wild and whatnot.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If I had the time and money, I'd take in couchsurfers as a part-time job. I love traveling of course, but for now at least my plans and responsibilities have me tied down, and while doing so I have the great privilege of meeting people from all over the world and showing them around my little town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a preaching the amazingness of couchsurfing for about 4 years now. My first experience was on my hitchhiking trip across the country in the summer of '10. I actually so fell in love with Omaha thanks to the wonderful wonderful hosts that I went back to stay with them for a few months. And in that time I've gotten a chance to meet a lot of great people who've stayed with us at our house and the people I've hosted on my own since I moved back to Las Vegas.

I have a pretty wide range of interests - I love hearing travel stories, I love listening to and playing music, spending times in the outdoors either hiking, camping, picnicing, or just laying in the sun and flying kites. I have a great interest in music and dancing. I entertain myself sometimes by teaching myself to play different instruments and I have a great love of dancing swing and salsa and other dances. I love drinking coffee or tea, eating chocolate,and Mexican food. I also have a lot of intellectual interests that is pretty much all-inclusive (which probably explains why I ended up in a field as broad as anthropology). But I love to discuss politics from any corner of the world, economic theory, philosophy, psychology, human behavior, and so on.
