About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Do as much cool, fun stuff as I can, and not let work hold me back.
ABOUT ME
My deepest apologies to those who contacted me over the past 2 months. I mistakenly had my couch available (when it should have said not available!) and missed many of you.
I work too much currently but plan on cutting back as soon as possible. Or at least, vacationing often. Now seems like a great time to get out and about, since everything is at a discount.
I've spent most of my life programming computers, though I did a short stint in biology. I run a company in New York City that does development, and I love doing my own thing.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life because the alternative isn't attractive yet (how's that for an answer).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, New York is a fun place to visit (and even more fun to live if you ask me), but I imagine it can be a little big and ominous. I live in an awesome neighborhood in Manhattan, close to everything. My flatmate and I know all of the best places, and how to have a good time while avoiding the bad.
So, we want to host and like to host. We will also be looking to do some surfing of our own this year.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Seems like New York City is a popular destination. We get about a dozen requests per day, so I apologize if it takes some time to get back to you. Also, first-come first-serve, and plan far in advance. Check our calendar out!
Interests
Food. Beer. Wine. Music. And I can hold a conversation in just about anything, from sociology to quantum physics. I don't claim to be an authority on these, no, I'm only an authority on computer science, but I can keep up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Exploring the cathedral architecture around France was a lot of fun. Reverse bungee jumping was fun too (they pull you down and then release and you fly into the air on a bungee cord, instead of jumping down).
Teach, Learn, Share
Alphabet City is one of the best neighborhoods in manhattan. It's not overcrowded or overly busy. I love showing off my favorite spots in Alphabet City, from dive bars to the beer garden to one of the oldest restaurants in new york which will make you feel like you're family having dinner at your grandmother's.
