ABOUT ME

I'm a landscape designer. I hitchhiked for about 7 years, in that time I have crossed the country several times (hitched across 8), I have hitched across Mexico. I have been vegan for 17 years, I'm pretty good at cooking and baking good vegan food. I am interested in foraging, I've been doing it for about 17 years now.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many travelers at my homes in Phoenix and Chicago, and stayed with a few people I found on CouchSurfing. I also started a Vegan and Vegetarians group for Phoenix, which seems to have inexplicably disappeared.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only surfed a few times, and they were great! I've hosted around 40 couchsurfers between The Earth Day house and The Phantom house, another 20 or so in Chicago. If you include people who I met through other ways, bands and activism mostly, I've hosted possibly over a hundred people and had only one bad experience and that was from CouchSurfing.

Some of my favorite movies are Smoke Signals, DreamKeeper, Bamboozled, The Rage in Placid Lake, The Life of David Gale, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, I Heart Huckabees, Artois The Goat, Box Trolls, The Crazy Stranger, Love in the Time of Cholera, Russian Dolls, Lovers Of the Artic Circle, Delicatessen...

I've hitchhiked across the u.s. 68 times, Mexico once, the World Naked Bike Ride Chicago 7 times, I held a world record for two years, I lived in the desert in a tent by myself...
