About Me

My first child memory is of my parents and I camping on the beach. From this early start on a sandy shore, I’ve spent most of my life in transit. From drinking water from a fresh stream during fall seasons in a hunter’s lodge north of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière to biking in the butterfly fields around Chambly, I always heard nature calling.

In my teens, I sailed every summer on a small lake with friends. We also canoed up the river to find camping sites on islands in Quebec. We did a short road trip to Canadian national parks or to the US to go camping in the Adirondacks Mountains. At 19, I strapped my guitar to my back, made my way to North Carolina where I boarded a 49-foot sail boat and lived on the Atlantic Ocean for a few months.

With my first car I travelled for months around New Brunswick, Ile du Prince Edward, Ile de la Madelaine and la Gaspésie.

In two thousand five, I finally crossed the Atlantic and soon made my way to Manchester, Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Copenhagen, Bruxelles, Paris, Sylt, Stockholms. Then crossed the Pacifique to Sydney and back higher north to Iceland.

The constant factor in all these incredible journeys are the people I meet and the culture I discover.

Since 2016, I’ve been actively hosting Couchsurfers and giving tour of Montreal to renew with the pleasure to exchanging with international and local nomads. In the last year, I’ve added cycling to my favourite activity.

I’ve embraced the life of the artist and of the drifter. Through my many years, I’ve worked on amazing projects with amazing people. I’ve directed short films around the globe, worked in photography, and spent countless hours writing and contemplating the world we live in. My last amazing project was a few months as cinematographer capturing areal footage of historical landmarks and events.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m looking to connect with other travellers, plan out road trips, cross Canada in a Westfalia, bike touring around Europe, sail the oceans. You name it. Life is too short.
