About Me

Hi! I'm Iara! Nice to virtually meet you :)

I am 28 years old. I am passionate about travelling and sharing new adventures. I am Argentinean and I used to live in Buenos Aires but in the beg of 2021 I left my 9-5 corporate job to try new experiences...

Since then, I have been living in different cities, for 1-2 months in each: Faro, Lagos, Portimao, Lisbon, Porto in Portugal, Gijón in Spain, Amsterdam in the Netherlands... and who knows what comes next? :)

In my travels I met two amazing friends, Toto and Leo, who joined me on a new adventure: together, we visited 12 countries already and we are now sharing the beautiful project of moving from Portugal to Australia, visiting as many countries as possible (on a super limited budget but unlimited willingness to make it happen) and meeting locals to exhange cultural knowledge and warmth 💕 wanna join us?

------------
I consider myself an outgoing, active and fun person, who loves meeting people all the time and spending time with friends and family. I love learning and thus, I enjoy doing all kinds of new things and engaging in meaningful conversations with people around the world that can teach me lessons and open my mind. In fact, that is what I do for a living: I am a Sworn English - Spanish Translator and Conference Interpreter, and I worked for three years in a multinational company where I developed e-learning content and I had the opportunity of working online with people from other countries such as India, the US, and Brazil. Before that, I worked as an English teacher for children at an institute, for adults in companies, and for university students at the university where I studied. We could say I am never bored! I am always on the move and looking for new challenges. Lastly, I speak Spanish, English and a little French and Portuguese (though my French and Portuguese need practice!).

I enjoy the little moments of life: love being outdoors and admiring nature. I love the excitement and history of big cities as well as the warm details and enchanting quietness of little villages and towns.

I like going to music festivals, travelling, cycling, going on long walks, and drinking mate, coffee and tea while we talk or watch something (about travelling of course!). I also love going to the cinema, the theatre, and to museums or cultural events of all kinds.

I like to think of myself as a very adaptable person, as I am really dynamic and free-spirited but at the same time responsible and down-to-earth. I am continuously reinventing myself and seeking personal growth. I am friendly and sociable, and love getting to know other cultures and even adapting some of their customs to my daily life.

I have a deep interest in ecologysm and try to keep a low-to-zero waste, minimalist life and have a plant-based diet.
