ABOUT ME

I am passionate, engaging, curious, dedicated and adventurous. I am currently spending the majority of my time as a student working on combined degrees in medicine (MD) and anthropology (PhD). I also work as a writer and consultant when not studying and am an ultrarunner, i.e. one stupid enough to run distances longer than the marathon, often in the mountains, woods, deserts, and plains.

I am a husband and father of two.

I thrive, mentally, physically and emotionally, when exploring the world. This is especially true of places new to me and, hence, my passion for travel and meeting new folks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

With my athletics, writing, and research I spend a considerable amount of time traveling. When traveling I prefer to meet new people rather than stay alone in a hotel -learn local knowledge of great restaurants, cafes, places to visit, etc. In my experience, I've made many new friendships that have lasted for years. I am grateful for Couchsurfing for helping to facilitate this and add a meaningful layer to my travel of spaces new to me.

Interests

I try to spend as much time exploring the wild side of life and can be spotted, frequently, in the mountains. My main interests in my life remain my wife, two children and dogs. Without them, there would not be so much to return to after traipsing across the mountains!
