About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to learn, live, and love
ABOUT ME
Easy going, well travelled, and passionate about sustainability
I am an independent person and I try do everything at least once! I love love love meeting new people and living in new places, unfortunately life after college doesn't often offer enough time off to really get under the skin of cultures, which is why I prefer to surf couches.
I work in the sustainability and non-profit sector of community development and conservation and I love it. I feel fortunate to be able to work in a field I am passionate about.
Riding my bicycle, running, laughing, swimming, skiing, scuba diving, climbing, reading and discovering new places are things I enjoy doing whenever I have the opportunity.
I try to learn or experience new things every day. I enjoy being around individuals who know who they are.
PHILOSOPHY
Whatever I do should be adding to the fun experience that life is. Fun as in enjoying every minute, learning and reflecting upon things and I love to get surprised by things I never even considered.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and surf as much as I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed other's couches, I have less experience hosting, since I have been living in locations that were not very prone to travellers, but that will change at some point! I like to contact hosts up front to get a feeling for one another to have a more fun experience.
Interests
People, friends, outdoors, climbing, skiing, ice skating, scuba diving, juggling, climate change, sustainable development, environment, new things, new views, mixing it all together, and above all, having fun, laughing and enjoying life!

Music, Movies, and Books
I just finished reading Reinventing Fire which is brilliant.
Books by Karen Rose rock -pure crime and so many stories at once.
Half of a Yellow Sun and the Purple Hibiscus are absolutely fantastic books about Nigerian life around the time of the civil war.
I watched Skyfall, the Hobbit and Alex Cross this fall and thought they were all great, although I tend to watch more documentaries than other genres.
