ABOUT ME

It was always hard for me to speak about myself. Well, I was born in Belarus and studied journalistics, blah-blah-blah. At present, I have dedicated myself to travelling, also I write books and guidebooks, busy myself with different hobbies and stuff my head with diverse sorts of knowledge ;)

PHILOSOPHY

I think that the main problem of the modern society is the automatism of feelings, desires and actions. People tend to form their own worlds of prejudice and they live there without any interest of thinking in another way.
So, be open-minded, independent and do not let the others to think instead of you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Belarus is a blank spot on the map for the foreigners. Chernobyl, Lukashenka, "dictatorship" - that is all, aha?
Visit Belarus and I can show you that my country is splendid and uncommon. Primeval nature, old castles, original culture - and do not believe your "Lonely Planet" too much, Minsk is not only interesting city in Belarus!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

OK, may be I tell the most funny CS experience. When my friend and I were in Odessa, we lived at the home of the most hospitable person I have ever met - Misha aka "ARMOZEL". We shared his two-storeyed Greek-style home with 18 Poles, 2 Germans, 2 Latvians and guys from the UK, Russia and France. That was the real international embassy! True CS spirit.

Will try to single out the most significant.
Evidently, I like travelling. I mean, I try to spend most of my time to journeys. Also, I adore history, geography, literature and astronomy. I am interested in studying history of religions - particularly, Buddhism, Islam and Chinese philosophy. Futhermore, I take a great interest in medicine, physics and ethnolinguistics. At last, I am very fond of cinema.
In sports, also, I like football and tennis.

音乐、电影和书籍

I generally like the sort of art that makes you use your brain. So, in literature I prefer dramatics, intricate detective stories, high-quality science fiction and historical novels.
Futhermore, in cinema I like art house and auteur films, that are made not for profit, but for art. Still, nevertheless, I even like some of good Hollywood movies, but only a few.
Aslo, I am interested in classical, rock and ethnic music. And what concerns painting, I like impressionism, modernist style and Flemish painting.
