About Me

Hello, my name is Ícaro and I was born and raised in João Pessoa, Brazil, the easternmost city in the whole Americas. Because of its position people sometimes call it "the city where the sun rises first". It's a beautiful place with a wonderful seacoast and lots of nice beaches near it.

Well, what more... I'm "technically" an electronic technician. I say "technically" because if you ask me to fix your television I probably wouldn't be able to do this. Although I can't really fix your electronic appliances, when I was doing my technician school I could see the range of different stuff you can construct using electronics, and if there is one thing I want to do in this life that is creating things (not just in this field... the more the better). This led me to study computer engineering there in Brazil. However, nowadays I'm not in Brazil, I'm in Ireland doing an exchange program.

I consider myself easygoing, open-minded and friendly. When meeting new people I rather small groups, I think that way everyone can know each other better, what I think doesn't really happen when you are in a big group. In this last case I can be a bit quiet, at least at the begining haha
I also have some useless skills that I've learnt during freetime, I can show some when we meet.
One thing about me that I think is terrible (after all, we all have flaws): procrastinating
(I've been procrastinating writing these profile information for a good time, but actually I don't like writing about me... I prefer that people discover about myself when they meet me)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm still new on this, but I'm here because I think it is a great idea and I want to experience at most!
You can meet people from all over the world, have a great time with them and share good experiences. More, staying with locals you can know the nicest and non-touristic places of a city, which is pretty good because a city isn't just its touristic points. And you also can save money, so you can travel more, what's a good deal for someone who likes travelling, like everyone here on this website I guess =P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once a teacher told me: An artist must always think that his best work is the one he will still make.
I think the same applies here. We can always do something better than what we've already done.
