About Me
Hello, there! I'm Ícaro, an open-minded Brazilian guy who is fascinated about how interesting the world actually is. I was born in Salvador, in northern Brazil, and throughout my life I've lived in different places and countries. I am an International Relations academic and one of my favourite things in the world is to learn about other people's cultures. I have plenty of funny stories to tell, for people say I'm quite funny, and I love to hear other people's tellings and share good experiences with them. When I travel, I enjoy very much getting immersed in the culture I'm in, even if I'm travelling inside my own country. I'm curious, up for most things, and have a lot of energy. Try me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of the website, which is to connect people from all over the world, with different backgrounds and points of view about the most different things. It is an affordable and wonderful way of travelling! I love to get to know locals and get closer to their realities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In this summer I went on an European Solidarity Corps project in the seaside of Latvia for two months. I worked on a summer camp with local kids doing cultural and educational activities with them everyday. It was amazing to realize how different people from different cultures are able to connect and form meaningful bonds without even speaking the same language sometimes.
I leaned a lot about myself and what the word "education" really means.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a language teacher and can speak 5 languages, so I'm always willing to teach some of them if you ask me.
I've studied a lot about History of the World, Mythology, liguistics and psychology. I love talking, so I only need to get started.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can make dinner. A Brazilian dinner if possible.
I can teach the languages that I know.
I can sing (kind of, haha)
I can hang out with you, really.
