ABOUT ME

I defy boundaries set by others with no explanation. I am the Perpetual Why. I believe the Individual is our most precious resource and one that is being erased and/or ignored on a global level. I believe that we all contain stories and I want to know yours, because everyone has been fascinating at some point in their life, for better or worse, whether they know it or not.

PHILOSOPHY

I am adamant about not leaving the forest dance while there's still fire. I enjoy delving into the anatomy of mirrors. I think sitting on the stairs and laughing is an obviously awesome thing. I think more people should take life seriously enough to laugh at it. I know that every person contains charm, beauty and truth due to quarks. I think that living an honest life requires far more courage than the majority want to put into action. I believe fear is crippling when held on to, and that ego places limits on our wild heart. I think personal responsibility is a beautiful and freeing thing. I believe the only person I have to be better than is my Self, and that seeking an evolution and revolution within is one of the true sources of joy. I feel that respect is earned, but must be given. I know that gratitude should be expressed as often as possible. I build horizons with my sight and worlds with my words. I know that regret, guilt and jealousy are wasted emotions, and it's a damn shame that the world wishes us to feed off of them, as though they could bring any sort of fulfillment. I know that in the end, we are what we make ourselves, and that is an awesome responsibility and an overwhelming gift at times.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now surfed two couches and hosted twelve surfers, and they have mostly all been cool experiences so I'm ready for the next round.

Interests

The smell of fresh ink. Beauty from odd angles. Stories from strangers. Telling tattoo stories. Riding motorcycles. Whiskey skateboarding. How you laugh. Giving memory to music. Opening the doors of perception. Sexuality, sensuality and seduction in relation to Divinity. Floor gazing and figure eights. Calendar communion. Spontaneous living room dance parties. Exploring the terrain. Not settling for less or other. Countertop confessionals. Climbing upon, over, under and through things. The wind in my hair and rain on my skin. My novel lives. Bass in my blood re-birthing the tribal beat. Epiphanies that bring the breath back. Realizing that spending time with someone counts as "doing something". Living the Deep Let-Go. Skinned poetry. My trigger finger. The shadows before the light at the end of the tunnel. A laugh a day. The way sunlight comes through the leaves, even in their absence. Peppermints, twizzlers, jellybeans and m&ms guarded by a fierce cartoon. Being alone in an empty house with my muse and a bottle of wine. Those with paint on their fingers and not enough sleep. Shotglasses from places other people have gone to drink. Finding John Galt. Putting my hands out the window. Saturday naps in the grass. Moments of comfortable silence. Personal Freedom. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think amazement is an everyday thing. You should take more time to find the miracle in the things around you that most take for granted. That is one of the beautiful things about CS that I am most grateful for; as I open my home to people not-from-here, I get my attention redrawn to fireflies, squirrels and singing bugs, whose background noise is an everynight lullaby to me, and whose furriness more often ends up a road dodge, but to others they are the most exotic thing. That is the true reward of Couchsurfing, getting to re-see your world through another's eyes while opening your eyes to theirs.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a constant seeker of knowledge, so I appreciate all new input. I think I have a unique view of myself in this world (I swear to god I'm a snowflake!!!) and I think sharing opinions and sentiments and theories help us all grow, because even in opposition you can learn something.
